AGM Notice for 2020

Please be advised that our AGM/Members Weekend for 2020 at Beamish has been provisionally booked for the weekend of Saturday 13th/Sunday 14th June 2020.

This is because we could not get the two dates in May as discussed at our 2019 AGM.

We are giving you advanced warning as I appreciate some people work and need to book the time off and others volunteer elsewhere and also have those commitments to consider.

It may well be worth including a Friday and Monday to make it a long weekend because of the distance, Kerry is organising this one for 2020 and he will outline other railways nearby that can be visited in the next Colonel, I understand that unless you have been before you will probably need 2 days to see everything at Beamish, but those that wish could do one day and then visit a North East Heritage line.

Meanwhile I hope not too many are disappointed with the date change but this was the only alternative and the later date could offer better weather as well. Hope to see you there.

Regards Dana Wiffen/CSS Publicity Officer

WANTED: Tyer's No.7

The Colonel Stephens Railway Museum is seeking to acquire, by purchase or long term loan, a Tyer's No.7 electric tablet instrument as used for single-line working.

The museum is not interested in acquiring the much more common Tyer's No.6.

If you have a No.7, or know where one might be available, please contact Philip Shaw at
