DAY ONE SATURDAY 20th MAY 2017

TIMETABLE/CHECK LIST

• 10.00-10.15 Arrive at Dereham Memorial Hall

• 10.30 AGM starts

• 11.30-11.45 AGM finishes

• 11.45 Walk over to MNR-Dereham Station

• 12.00 Lunch at station buffet

• 13.00 Board Train (reserved carriage)

• 13.15 Train departs-Wymondham Abbey Station

• 13.55 Train arrives-Wymondham Abbey Station

• 14.00 Take short walk to Wymondham Abbey for guided tour and tea break.

• 16.15 Return to Wymondham Abbey Station

• 16.45 Train departs for Dereham Station(reserved carriage)

• 17.25 Train arrives at Dereham Station

• 17.30 Return to Hotels/B+B’s

TIMETABLE/CHECK LIST

PLEASE ENSURE YOU ARRIVE IN TIME FOR THE COACH TO DEPART AT 10.15, OTHERWISE WE WILL NOT MAKE THE 11.25 TRAIN IN TIME AT HOLT

• 10.00 (sharp) Arrive Dereham Station to catch vintage coach to Holt Station we

have been given permission to leave vehicles in their car park for the day

• 10.15 Vintage Coach departs for Holt

• 11.10 Arrive at NNR-Holt Station-board reserved carriage

• 11.25 Steam train leaves for Sheringham

• 11.46 Arrive Sheringham Station-you have just over 1 hour to either walk down to

the sea through town or stay and watch trains coming and going and visit

the station shop or grab a cup of tea.

• 12.50 Return to Sheringham Station

• 13.00 Diesel Train departs

• 13.10 Alight at Weybourne Station

• 13.15 Light refreshments at Weybourne Station Waiting Room

• 13.45 Guided tour of NNR-Engineering Sheds

• 14.50 Return to Weybourne Station- Holt bound platform

• 14.56 Diesel Train departs for Holt

• 15.03 Train arrives at Holt Station

• 15.10 Meet museum curator to start comprehensive tour of William Marriott

Museum

• 16.00 Board our coach to travel along closed section of line with guide from NOR

Guide (North Orbital Railway)

• 18.00 Coach arrives back at Dereham Station

The Colonel Stephens Railway Museum is seeking to acquire, by purchase or long term loan, a Tyer's No.7 electric tablet instrument as used for single-line working.

The museum is not interested in acquiring the much more common Tyer's No.6.
